in the winter
I give the letter a stamp
of footsteps on the snow
the sapphire-eyed yellow cat
shivering above the red post
as I tiptoe on the rock
inserting the letter
I feel warmth
in this snowy day
chilling wind blowing
as I embrace the kitty home
knowing that
you will soon receive
my loving wishes
